Guildstock 2008 at the Ancon Theater Guild
Just a quick heads-up for those of you in Panama City; as a member of the Theater Guild of Ancon Board of Governors, it’s my duty (to please that booty) and honor to humbly invite you to get to know one of the oldest theaters in Panama City, and the only one that mounts plays in English. I’ve talked about the TGA before, but this time around I’ll direct your attention to the press release for Guildstock ‘08, a show with 3 Panamanian bands taking place this coming Friday March 28th at the Ancon Theater Guild… umm, theater. Pull out your translators, ladies and gents:
Porto Diao members (including myself) will be perusing the premises, handing out flyers to Session 2 of our Grainjaus! festival taking place at the Theater Guild of Ancon this coming April 11th, and also listen to some tunes. Tickets are $5 a pop and you can get them pre-sale at Indika Store, as well as at the booth the night of the concert. The TGA is located behind the PTJ headquarters, at the edge of the Ancon neighborhood. It’s a little tricky getting there, but if you’re coming from Balboa just drive straight as if you were going to the 4 de Julio Avenue and turn right when you see the overpass. If you’re seeing transvestites and crazy post-5p.m. traffic, then that means you overshot the entrance.
