La Fiesta del Chor y La Chancleta Posted on November 8th

It’s not too late to mention this and since today I’m amazed at how lacking of topics to write about I am today I’ve chosen to talk about this little nilly; AlmanaqueAzul.org, the guide to coasts and beaches in Panama (which I’m a part of) is organizing an awesome concert come November 19th… that would be this next Sunday. Starting at 3PM, you’ll be enthralled by the musical endeavours of 5 Panamanian bands that represent some of the best homebrew music out there: Raíces y Cultura, Pureza Natural, Bajareque, El Papo Vecino and Los Dirty Sanchez. Great stuff across the board, ladies and gents.

This lovely Sunday afternoon recital will only cost you $3 and it’s for a good cause: Almanaque Azul is pushing readers to become beach explorers in order to write for the website. The initiative is brilliant in my opinion, and it’s the type of creative thinking PortoDiao.com fully supports so I’ll be over there in both AA and PD authority laying the hurt on motherfuckers. Not really, but you know what I mean.

Anyway, if you’re interested in the AA project, you can download the form and read more about it here. The page of Nov 19th’s event, named “La Fiesta del Chor y la Chancleta,” is here. Below, the flyer (click on the image to enlarge). Distribute it to your friends and well, if you feel like doing something different with your Sunday while helping out a great cause then drop by! I’ll be the guy sipping on a beer.

****UPDATE: I forgot to mention this, fine folks; the beer will only be a dollar for the event, and you can get your tickets now at all Hombre de la Mancha bookstores. Also, for the first people to show up we will be giving complementary flip flops! Come on, man… this has got to be the sweetest deal in the history of deals.

Boss D.J:
There I am... sitting. Waiting. For something, anything. People are out and about while I'm there, appearing like I'm sitting still while I wait for something exciting to happen. Sunday mornings are always easier to be idle, anyway. There was a lot of stuff going on around me but still,...
