Wow, I didn’t think the day would come when a player-hater would see the accomplishments this little project has achieved in such short time and decided to take a fart all over it. This is awesome! Is it a he? A she? Cthulhu, maybe? I don’t know, because user “Mmmm” apparently has no sex, nor sexual orientation because I can’t tell what genre he swings by his words alone using my awesome detective skills. Anyway, I know you’re out there and you’re thinking to yourself “why am I an ass?” Don’t worry, true believer: you did a public service in pointing out to me that I haven’t said anything about the network’s site numbers. On Saturday September 2nd, at 8:45PM user “Mmmm” wrote on that day’s post, regarding Porto Diao’s sponsorship of Sept 30th’s BirriaFest:

Hate comment!!! No name, no real email or anything! Since yo@gmail.com probably leads to nowhere I decided to forget my first course of action which was to privately send him the numbers and put his fears to rest, but I was forced this afternoon (after waking up from a shitty hangover, no less) to do it publicly via a comment right below. Today Sunday September 3rd at 2:08PM, user “Rob” (that’s me, mom!) said:

Bueno, según los números que maneja el servidor, en el mes de Agosto el site con más visitantes del grupo fue el mio con 2,214 hosts/visitantes distintos a nivel mundial (estos numeros pueden ser mayores porque a veces algunos hosts de internet, que cuentan con muchas cuentas, el tracker los cuenta como uno solo) y sumando los visitantes de los demás, Porto Diao esta promediando casi 8,000 visitas mensuales… nada mal para un network creo abrió en Mayo. Le atribuyo esto a varios factores, uno de los más predominantes siendo que todos hablamos el idioma inglés y eso abre nuestro público.

Son más de 50 personas, no te preocupes por ello.

Ohhhhh, snap! By the way I’d like to thank Blogs Panama for the visitor boost because if it weren’t for that wonderful directory we would’ve never gotten the ridiculous boost we have. Now, with this thing coming in September the only way is “up” now. Anyway, I have my first hate comment after almost 5 months on the air! I thought it’d be sooner and I thought the player hater would tell us fine folks in the audience his real name but alas, such is the way of the Internet. I wonder who it is! I wonder if he/she showers on Sundays. I wonder if this will create some “You’ve Got Mail” scenario where at first we hate each other’s guts and in the end it turns out it’s Meg Ryan and we make sweet, sweet Internet love with each other. What fuels anonymous hate comments and emails like that? Jealousy, perhaps? Maybe he/she/Cthulhu thought of a similar idea but it fell apart. Maybe he’s Emo. Maybe he’s both. Fuck, Cthulhu is Emo?! I feel that my Internet experience in way of producing my own content is complete. I got player hate. FUCK YEAH! I’d like to thank Cthulhu for popping my hate cherry. Let’s go have a beer sometime! I don’t mind you looking like an experiment gone wrong, man… it’s what’s in the inside that counts.
