Women of the New Age Posted on December 6th

This one will be short, mainly because my brain is too hocked up on Coheed and Cambria for me to think about anything else so if this reads like a string-of-thought post then I apologize. First off, I’d like you to read this post, in response to this post here. I ran into it on my way to this here site and it pretty much revamped whatever it was I was going to talk about today because said post brings up a very interesting topic that I could talk for eons about; one that fascinates me to no end because, unlike most people, I run to the things I don’t understand: women. Alright so, I’m a guy. I might be in touch with my inner workings more than most Clint Eastwood type of individuals as evidence by this blog’s archives but I still have that Latino Macho thing that is embedded in our genes. Ladies, no matter who you’re dating, as laidback and relaxed as he can be he will always have a tiny part of him that wants to play off as the man in the relationship. That’s fine; I like to do that too every now and then but mostly I believe that relationships are a 50/50 partnership on an estate. Everyone has fair say, and I’m not going to police anyone… I expect the same for me as well. It makes the feeling stronger for me, y’know what I mean? Anyway, if you’ve read the posts I’ve linked to above then you’ve noticed that what we have here is 2 sides of the same coin; when you have so many criticisms going on from both sides of the fence then, what’s the point? I’m a guy, so I identify a lot more with the 50 Things a Woman Does Wrong While Having Sex post (in fact, I think it’s hilarious and even more so because a woman wrote it while a guy wrote the other) but I take it that if you’re a member of the opposite sex you’ll most definitely take sides a little easier.

To me, I like women who would be able to come up with a post like that. Real, down-to-earth women. People, for that matter. Actually, is there’s a girl out there who agrees on all the points made by that post, please send me an email; I’m feeling lonely today and could use some helping out. Looking deeper into this though, I find the observations on both posts fascinating. Now, I’m not gonna go into details about what I do or do not do while I have sex, but I’ve seen and heard enough to see some type of coherence in all 100 points that were disclosed within both posts. I remember I had a girlfriend once and she had a very strict father; so ridiculously strict, in fact, that many times he flat out kicked me out of the house because he didn’t want me there. My relationship with the mister was a disaster, to the point where I actually got off at pissing him off with my presence alone.

One time we were downstairs on her social area (she lived in a building, runned down but the place was serviceable) and we started fooling around; there was a kiddie birthday party on the other side of the area so naturally my rationale automatically births the idea of having sex in the bathroom. Now, talk about being spontaneous; this girl was all about the spur of the moment (from the mouth outwards, anyway) so 10 minutes after the smackdown comes she’s got half her jeans on her knee, her Hello Kitty undies riding up her ass and we’re “checking her temperature” when she decides that the hallway to the bathroom pressed against the wall is not a good place to have sex.

Excuse me?

Listen. There are many evils out there. There are macho idiots, over-possesive idiots, clumsy fuckers, rude idiots and fuckers. But just as much as we have our bad guys, for every macho idiot there’s a cocktease as to not upset the cosmic balance. If you’re 60% into sex in public, backing off is not a good idea. You have cockteases, girls who can’t make up their fucking minds, girls that get the wrong idea, psychos, bitches, girls that take advantage of you and so on and so forth. For ever type of guy you hate, young lady, there a girl on your camp who does the same thing. The original post and its rebuttal are just mirror images of two sides where everything is the same, but under a different limelight. For every measure there’s a countermeasure… that sort of thing.

Girls, don’t you hate when you realize a guy is taking advantage of you?

Guys, don’t you hate when you realize a girl is taking advantage of you?

Ridiculous. We complain and complain and complain when the same thing can be found everywhere you look. See, I believe it’s stuff like these things that detach us from ever truly connecting with anyone else. Today I feel like I wanna cut through the bullshit much like these two posts have, but most importantly it’s diatribes like these that make me want to pull myself under the covers and find a safe haven. What do you all think? Seriously, it’s stuff like this that makes people scared. The rebuttal post is funny as hell, though…

What this all goes to show is that one will never fully understand the opposite sex as much as people won’t never entirely understand each other. Every person’s a universe that they themselves haven’t explored in its entirety yet, and for us to try and understand it for them is an exercise in futility. Worth the try, though.
